What We Do

what we are doing

The Hunter Whitley Butterfly Initiative is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded to provide accessible resources, support, education and awareness around Veteran mental health challenges, the Veteran suicide crisis, and the stigma around mental health. We feel strongly we can make a difference by uniting communities, educating families and friends, providing support and resources to our Veterans, and breaking the stigma around mental health by standing by our Veterans and their families.

As we’ve learned, some families and friends are completely unaware of the struggles our Veterans are facing. Taking care of their well-being is a shared responsibility between families, friends, and communities. We are dedicated to working together to build a strong foundation within our communities to raise awareness and better assist our Veterans as they so deserve.
